The Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD)has allayed fears that the new system of education does not cater for the needs of learners with special needs.
KICD director Dr Julius Jwan said the Competence Based Curriculum is all rounded and will accommodate children living with disabilities. Jwan (pictured) said the rights of learners with special needs cannot be overlooked in the development of a curriculum, adding that that would be unlawful and discriminative.
