The Publishing and Productions Section at KICD focuses on developing quality print and publication works which are in tandem with the Institute’s quality policy of “providing quality curricula and curriculum support materials responsive to the needs of the society”.
The section has competent staff with extensive experience in Printing and Publishing of High Quality Bespoke Products for the Institute’s Department, Government Institutions and Private Clientele at affordable prices. Our staff are also well trained to carry out Technical Specifications necessary for Bookwork.
The Publishing Section is equipped with Production Facility ergonomically designed to optimize throughput effectively and efficiently.
In order to deliver products and services of the prerequisite quality, the Publishing and Productions Section en-devours to operate under strict conditions that conform to our Quality Management System which ascribes to the Global Standard for providing assurance on the ability to satisfy quality requirements and enhance customer satisfaction.
All in-process and finished publications undergo a thorough pre-delivery inspection in order to deliver products of the Right Quality and Quantity Consistently.
The section does the print and publications work for the Institute’s departments as well as other government institutions and private clientele at an affordable price.
Print and Publications mainly specializes in Bookwork production but also produces other printed materials:
For Internal jobs, the departments/divisions/sections shall request for a quotation of their printing works. The request should be accompanied with an approved hard/soft copy of item to be printed. The Print and Publications Section shall issue a pro-forma invoice to the departments/divisions/sections in order to confirm availability of funds.
For External jobs, the client should fill out a print services requisition form available at the Print and Publication office. A pro-forma invoice which spells out a total cost is issued to the client and work begins once the client has made a 50% deposit of the total amount charged. Balance is supposed to be cleared before the work is dispatched to the client.
Payment shall be made at the Cash Office located at the Institute through a Banker’s Cheque drawn in favour of the Director, Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development
