Parents and teachers have been asked to insist on approved textbooks when they visit a bookshop or are approached by booksellers. This will assist in upholding standards in curriculum delivery.
According to KICD, Curriculum support materials that have not been vetted will compromise the quality of teaching and learning.
“Be careful especially with the revision books. Not every book that has the word grade on it that is fit for the Competency Based Curriculum (CBC),” KICD Director, Dr Julius Jwan warned.
