Dr. Ndegwa represents the Principal Secretary, Basic Education. He is a senior education leader and policy expert in the Government of Kenya, with extensive experience in strategic education planning, sector partnerships, and regional cooperation. He holds a Doctorate in Business Administration (Strategic Management) and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Nairobi.
He currently serves as Director of Education and Head of the Directorate of Policy, Partnerships and East African Community Affairs, where he provides leadership in education policy development, multi-stakeholder engagement, and coordination of strategic partnerships to advance national education priorities. He is also the Chair of the National Education Sector Strategic Plan (NESSP) Implementation Team, driving implementation oversight and alignment across government and partners.
