KICD: CBC Subjects to be Dropped and Replaced in 2024. The Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) plans to lower the number of learning areas for learners within the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) beginning in January 2024.
President William Ruto accepted the suggestions provided by the Presidential Working Party on Education Reforms (PWPER) on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, and gave directions for urgent execution.
